Tomorrow, college students and activists in Hartford, CT, plan to hold a rally to promote the legalization of medical marijuana in the state.
The rally will be held at the Connecticut state Capitol, and supporters will call on legislators to continue the reform of marijuana policy in the state. They will also encourage legislators to pass medical marijuana legislation.
The rally was initially scheduled for today, but it was pushed back to tomorrow in order to have the strongest possible impact.
In 2007, a Connecticut medical marijuana bill was vetoed by then Governor M. Jodi Rell. Last summer, legislators voted to decriminalize the possession of small amounts of marijuana.
