Michael Foster, 62, and Susan Cooper, 63, of Lincolnshire, England, grew marijuana on their property for over 6 years and made over $600,000 in profits. The couple in turn donated all of their profits to help a Kenyan village that they visited frequently.
After being caught by police in 2010, the couple pleaded guilty to producing cannabis and possessing criminal money. They have now been sentenced to 3 years in prison each.
Their attorney explained to The Guardian, “While in Kenya, they bought a computer for a local eye hospital, paid for children to be put through school, and paid for a lifesaving operating on a man’s gangrenous leg.”
The couple’s marijuana grow was discovered accidentally when police were chasing a burglar near their farm and noticed the smell of marijuana.
159 marijuana plants and $32,000 in cash were found on their farm.
Judge Sean Morris told the couple, “You were growing marijuana on a significant scale, jetting off to Kenya on it. I am sure you were doing good things in Kenya with your drug money, whether that was to appease your consciences, I can only speculate.”
Just think of all the good that could be done if marijuana could be grown and sold legally.

This is a corrupt and unfair country we live in. But remember, te government is right.. I mean they do tell us marijuana is more harmfull (class 1) than cocaine and methamphetamine (class 2 drug).
