Attorney General Eric Holder Says Verdict on Legal Marijuana Coming ‘Soon’

 by lucy

At the National Association of Attorney General annual conference on Tuesday, Attorney General Eric Holder told Washington and Colorado state attorneys general that an answer on how the Justice Department will handle legalized marijuana will be coming “soon”.

He stated, “We’re in the last stages of that review and we’re trying to make a determination as to what the policy ramifications are going to be, what our international obligations are — there are a whole variety of things that go into this determination — but the people of [Colorado] and Washington deserve an answer and you will have one soon.”

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper and Washington Governor Jay Inslee have both met with Attorney General Holder and both told the press that they felt encouraged to move forward with implementing legal marijuana programs in their respective states based on the feedback they received.

I hope they let the experiment continue before pulling the plug. The Drug War is so last century, the people have spoken and they want their marijuana and hemp.

Agreed. If they let it get implemented and have the chance to demonstrate that legal marijuana is not a big deal, doesn't add to crime rates, doesn't add to drug abuse, etc…. it would be HUGE.

I will cry for the freedom of all humanity of they use their heart in their decision process.
Well see to what degree hidden agendas are hinted at or anything in their response.
How evolutionary if he were to say that the voters get what they wanted.
If true I will for the first time say he and his people are good people.

eternal love nonetheless Brother Holder for we are one like the fingers of a hand homie.

"Soon" is a pretty relative term. It could be months on end before we have a decision.

i can already see where this is going, NATO, UN, all those "international organizations"…where none of us have a vote or a say..and they are pretend run by different countries but really it's private interest groups and international corporations and banks vs states and counties and ultimately us..the people of the united states…they have hijacked our governments…and now even when people use democratic process and elections to achieve a vote or outcome..they come and overturn it…alex jones has been talking about stuff like this for years…people call him a wack job…expect more of it..from medicine to food to civil rights..
