In under a week, Colorado voters will be able to weigh in on marijuana legalization. A recent poll shows that there is hope that Colorado could become the first state to fully legalize the use and possession of marijuana by anyone over the age of 21.
In a new survey conducted by Public Policy Polling, 53% of voters were found to be in favor of legalization, while only 43% opposed Amendment 64. 5% of polled voters said that they were undecided.
The poll was conducted last Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. A poll conducted three weeks ago showed that 48% of voters were in favor of legalization, with 43% against it.
Support is growing as election day nears, giving marijuana advocates hope that legalization could finally become a reality in Colorado.
