An Allegan, Mi. medical marijuana caregiver was robbed at gunpoint at his home on Sunday night.
James Finch claims to grow medical marijuana for patients other than himself. On Sunday night he heard a knock at the front door of his home and upon answering, three men rushed into his home.
The men were armed and police suspect they knew that Finch had marijuana in the home.
According to Allegan police Detective Jay Gibson, “He struggled with one suspect and disarmed the suspect. The other suspect shot him in the leg.”
Finch could not find his phone to call 911 so he drove himself to the hospital. He had surgery on his leg but is expected to recover.
Surveillance cameras were set up in the home, and police are now seeking the public’s help in identifying the three men. Finch could not identify the men, but police suspect that he may have known the suspects or someone who is acquainted with the suspects because they targeted the home with the medical marijuana grow.
Allegan is a small town of approximately 5,000 residents in south western Michigan.

sounds like a set-up whoever know's he is growing knows the $ that's coming outta the room and that was incentive enough for a setup and thieves to barge in. Stricter Gun laws or heighten up the police in the community. It's sad how far people have to take it at least the guy's life wasn't taken.

Yeah cause if you DONT answer the door 3 guys with guns who KNOW pots there are just gonna walk away and not break yer fucking door in thinking yer not home.. then when they randomly run into you inside yer home there not gonna freak out and just shoot you and all.. nope
