Massachusetts Hearing on MMJ Ballot Issue to Be Held Today

 by lucy

Lawmakers in Boston, Massachusetts are holding a hearing today regarding the medical marijuana question that will appear on the November ballot.

The initiative has been approved to appear on the ballot by Martha Coakley, Attorney General.

Should the ballot question be approved by Massachusetts voters, 35 collectives would be able to legally distribute medical marijuana to patients who had received a recommendation from their doctor to use the drug.  Qualifying conditions would include MS, AIDS, and cancer.
