In February, NUGGETRY News reported that a plane flying in President Obama’s protected airspace was diverted by F-16′s, and that 40 pounds of marijuana was discovered inside the plane upon landing.
He was arraigned yesterday, and could face 7 years in prison. He faces up to 3 years for possession and 4 years for the transportation allegations.

The man, Brian Choppin, 43, of Long Beach, was charged with possession of and transporting marijuana for sale. He has been out on bail since his arrest just over a month ago. An initial hearing has been set for April 12th for the case.
Choppin also faces permanent revocation of his pilot’s license, due to the fact that he used his aircraft to transport illegal drugs, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
